Wisconsin Must Remember These Three Republican Congressmen Who Voted to Deport U.S. Citizens Last Night
Tom Tiffany, Glenn Grothman, and Scott Fitzgerald
It's May Day today, and that means there's going to be a big rally in Milwaukee, an awesome celebration of Labor at our Madison Tap Room (7pm) , and the opening of our Minocqua Tap Room for the summer season (11 am).
We were going to write about all those things today, but the news coming out of the Congressional Judiciary committee was too outrageous to ignore--even though there seems to be outrageous news coming out of DC almost every day.
Last night, we posted a video of Democratic Congressman Eric Swalwell announcing that the every Republican member of the Judiciary committee voted to allow Trump to deport American citizens.
Not immigrants.
Not foreign students.
No, they've now moved onto American Citizens, which means you and us.
Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) said it was "Batshit Crazy" that Democrats felt the need to introduce an amendment that said ICE can't deport U.S. Citizens after Trump floated the idea of sending American prisoners to El Salvador.
But they did introduce that amendment, and all of the Republican members of the Judiciary Committee, including Wisconsin's Tom Tiffany, Glen Grothman, and Scott Fitzgerald, apparently voted "no."
Folks, we know this is like beating a dead horse to you, but we have to keep beating it because we also know that our large social media presence is seen by a bunch of folks who voted for Trump last November.
The Republican Party that most Wisconsinites think they belong to is dead. In it's place are empty suits who will do anything their King tells them to do, even deport U.S. citizens illegally. These Republican politians are no different than the Potemkin-like legislatures of North Korea, Russian, or Iran. They exist only to make it appear that power is not soley concentrated to one person--their respective dictators.
Wisconsin Political pundits keep telling us that Tom Tiffany, Glenn Grothman, and Scott Fitzgerald are in safe gerrymandered congressional districts, but we don't care.
These three men, by showing their absolute fealty to a would-be King over the clear laws of our U.S. Constitution, must be held accountable for this vote--among the many others they've taken to remove your rights.
Yes, we need to field real candidates against these guys in 2026, and remember what they did last night when we go to the ballot box--but 2026 is far away.
One way to hold them accountable NOW is to show up at town hall meetings and berate them for not representing you.
Unfortunately, these guys have been told to NOT HOLD any town hall meetings because the video of those meetings, where irate constituents--many of whom are Republicans--yell and scream at them to stand up for America and against dictatorship, is humiliating.
Well if they won't show up to tell us where they've hid their spines, we must hold town halls anyway--without them.
The absence of Republican Congressional leadership and accountability doesn't have to mean the absence of political discourse in the districts where these men are hiding.
Folks in Wisconsin's 5th, 6th, and 7th districts must hold Scott Fitzgerald, Glenn Grothman, and Tom Tiffany accountable for their appalling vote by organizing town halls as frequently as they need to be organized to humiliate them enough to show up and break the silence.
If you need help putting the pressure on these guys, we've created some stickers that you can put on milk cartons, street poles, or the local cork board at your favorite coffee shop--asking where they hell these guy are!

Thanks for reading, and our team all over the state hopes to see you at a May Day event later today.
Time to turn up the heat. I’ve called Tiffany’s office over 25 times today, and their staffers are now hanging up on me. They’re overwhelmed. Press on.
Accidents do happen.
